| KIDS KLOSET
began in 1990 with seed money from the Vestry. At first we planned to provide infant and toddler necessities until donations so abundant in kid's clothing of all sizes poured in. What began in our hearts and minds as a single room KLOSET soon spread out into a few spaces. At the beginning we had to sort and store on the floor, but then a gracious donation from Episcopal Charities and Community Services allowed us to purchase sturdy shelves and containers. We now offer (absolutely free) layettes, maternity wear, kids clothes from infant to size 16, shoes, books, toys and sometimes infant furniture. We operate with a staff of 10 who mend, launder, prepare layettes and shop thrift stores for bargains. Others man the shop. Our hours are Monday 12 to 3, Tuesday 10 to 1, and Wednesday 12:30 to 3. We always appreciate clothing, layette and monetary donations all of which allow us to serve God's special families. Donations may be brought during open hours, we'd love to see you; or they can be brought other times by entering through the glass doors on Euclid Ave. (by playground) and a short walk down the stairs brings you right to Kids Kloset where items may be left outside our door.
