Ministries St. Luke’s special outreach is our own KIDS KLOSET which provides children's clothing and newborn layettes to families in need throughout the metropolitan Milwaukee area. KIDS KLOSET began in 1990 with a small amount of seed money and it grew from its original hope to become "Baby Bundles and Toddler Togs" to a provider of all aged children's clothing. We always have toys on hand and sometimes furniture. Our growth was made possible through many generous donations beyond our initial seeds. So what began in a single room is now a few well supplied rooms. KIDS KLOSET is open Mondays from 12 to 3, Tuesdays from 10 to 1, and Wednesdays from 12:30pm till 3:30pm. We ask only that clients bring a picture ID and then they are welcome to shop our store of quality donated clothing. During the school year, St. Luke’s operates a Sunday School for youth. We also have Bible Study on the first Tuesday of the month. Additional information on any of these ministries is available by calling the church office at (414) 744-3736, or email us at: stlukes2@execpc.com We sponsor two children in Haiti, a lovely young girl, Olguine Belzuis and a handsome boy, Robens Desfourneaux. We receive pictures of them regularly along with progress reports on their school work, Christian Education, their health and social life too. We are happy to say that both of them are doing well and are involved in community development activities in Haiti. Our sponsorship is through St. Marc's Partnership Program in Jeannette, Haiti and is in conjunction with the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee Haiti Project. We contribute regularly to the Emergency Food and Infant Formula Pantry at the Bay View Community Center. The Center is a vital support for families in the area, many whom resort to the pantry after a sudden illness or work lay off. Any one of us could find ourselves in these situations and we believe it is vital to lend a Christ-like helping hand to members of the community. St. Luke’s is also the meeting place for Alcoholics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous and the home of Mary Linsmeier Schools, Children's Edu-Care,, a day care provider throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
