Dee Emanuelson
has been a member of St. Lukes for about fifty years. At present she serves on the
Altar Guild, sings in the choir and serves as the United Thank Offering Representative for
the Church. Through the years she has also frequently used her musical talents on the
violin performing at church celebrations.
In the past she has taught Sunday School and along with Doris Holaday
was co-superintendent of the Sunday School. Outside of church, Dee has taught pre-school
and second grade and now teaches English as a second language at MATC, which she has done
for 8 years. She displays her talent on the violin too by playing with the Racine Symphony
(20 years) and the Kenosha Symphony (7 years). For many years she also played in a string
quartet at special functions.
Her interests include serving on the Board of the Milwaukee Symphony
(18 years), Bank Club, Womens Bible Study and PEO (educational projects for women, a
philanthropic organization).
Dee enjoys her children, John, Jan Ellen, Sarah and their spouses and
children as well as many friends.
